An Octogenarian with Suspected Pneumonia Dies in Ulsan... COVID-19 Test Underway (Update)
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] An elderly man in his 80s living in Ulsan, who showed suspected symptoms of pneumonia, has died, and a test for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) is underway.
According to the police, at around 8:10 a.m. that day, a report was received that the life of an elderly man in his 80s was in critical condition at a house in Nam-gu.
The 119 paramedics and police who arrived at the scene performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and transported him to a nearby hospital, but the man eventually passed away.
The hospital confirmed suspected pneumonia symptoms in the man and requested the health authorities to test for COVID-19 infection, and the test is currently in progress.
The hospital temporarily closed the emergency room around 10 a.m.

The paramedics and police officers who responded to the scene, as well as some members of the detective team from Ulsan Nambu Police Station, were quarantined, and the Samsan Police Substation was also temporarily closed.
