Daily Progress Review Meeting, 3.03 Billion Won Contingency Fund Allocated
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Yoseop] As the number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) increases in the Busan area, Gijang-gun announced on the morning of the 24th that it held a 'COVID-19 Response Progress Report Meeting' chaired by Oh Gyuseok, the head of Gijang-gun.
Gijang-gun holds a COVID-19 response meeting every day at 9 a.m., attended by the county head, deputy county head, all bureau chiefs, all department heads, eup/myeon chiefs, and the director of the Urban Management Corporation to check the progress of measures. In addition to the already executed contingency fund of 1.32 billion KRW, an additional 1.71 billion KRW has been allocated, totaling 3.03 billion KRW in contingency funds to fully commit to blocking COVID-19.
At the meeting, it was decided to expand and operate the quarantine personnel by eup/myeon, currently operated centered on the infectious disease prevention team, from the existing 19 members to a total of 79 members. Disinfection of public facilities and multi-use gathering places will be strengthened, and intensive disinfection will be conducted by maximizing the use of closures and spring vacation periods for daycare centers, kindergartens, and elementary, middle, and high schools.
Starting from the 25th, the Gijang-gun Public Health Center will temporarily suspend general medical services and the issuance of certificates such as health certificates, and extend the operation of the screening clinic, which was open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., until 10 p.m. to focus on screening suspected COVID-19 patients.
