KCCI Recommends Member Companies to Autonomously Implement Flexible Working Hours for Commute
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced on the 24th that it has recommended member companies to voluntarily implement flexible commuting hours to reduce the risk of infection caused by close contact on public transportation.
As the crisis alert level for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) has been raised to the highest level, "Severe," the economic sector explained that this measure aims to prevent the spread of infectious diseases by reducing congestion and close contact on public transportation such as subways and buses.
The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry also requested member companies to voluntarily implement measures such as telecommuting and remote meetings to minimize the risk of infectious disease transmission.
