Korean Air to Suspend Daegu-Jeju Route Operations Until Next Month 28
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] As the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) rapidly spreads across the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions, Korean Air has decided to suspend flights on the Daegu~Jeju route.
According to the aviation industry on the 24th, Korean Air will reduce supply on two routes departing from and arriving in Daegu for 33 days from the 25th of this month to the 28th of next month. The Daegu~Jeju route, which operated twice daily, will not operate 66 flights during this period, and the Incheon~Daegu domestic route, which operated once daily for transfer passengers, will also suspend 32 flights during this period.
This is interpreted as a response to the demand contraction caused by the spread of COVID-19 centered around Daegu and Gyeongbuk.
