Starbucks' Iconic Spring Drink Returns This Year... "Choux Cream Latte" Launches
[Asia Economy, reporter Choi Shin-hye] Starbucks Coffee Korea announced on February 24 that it will launch its spring signature beverage, "Choux Cream Latte," starting the following day. This year, the drink will be released with the same flavor as its initial launch, reflecting customer feedback gathered through big data analysis.
The Choux Cream Latte is a beverage developed in-house by Starbucks Korea and was first introduced in 2017. It reinterprets the sweet custard cream of the popular choux cream dessert as a drink, allowing customers to enjoy the flavor of the dessert in beverage form. At the time, it became a sensation on social networking services (SNS), being dubbed a "life-changing drink" and "perfect match," after achieving the milestone of selling one million cups in the shortest time among beverages released in Korea.
This year, Starbucks will also introduce new spring seasonal beverages, including the "Strawberry Layer Choux Cream Frappuccino," which was developed with the nostalgic Mammoth bread concept and features strawberry, crumble topping, and choux cream. Additionally, the "Spring Peach Green Tea," which combines peaches from Yeongdeok and Uiseong in North Gyeongsang Province with organic green tea from Jeju, will be released.
