Sugo Participates in Overcoming Blood Supply Shortage Due to COVID-19... "Realizing Social Value"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Korea Water Resources Corporation participated in blood donation on the 21st at its headquarters in Daedeok-gu, Daejeon, to help overcome the shortage of blood supply for transfusions during the winter season.
This blood donation was organized with the voluntary participation of about 100 employees of the corporation, as the blood supply was expected to be disrupted due to low participation rates caused by concerns over the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The employees who participated in the blood donation underwent medical interviews to confirm their eligibility and donated blood using the blood donation vehicle of the Korean Red Cross Daejeon, Sejong, and Chungnam Blood Center.
According to the Korean Red Cross Blood Center, the current blood stock in the country has decreased to about 4.4 days' worth, compared to the adequate blood stock of 5 days.
