BNK Financial Group's 'BNK Love Blood Donation' event has been held annually since 2012 with the voluntary participation of its employees to contribute to solving social problems caused by blood shortages.
About 300 group employees participated in the blood donation event held at the Busan Bank headquarters, Bujeon-dong branch auditorium, and Group IT Center, sharing the gift of life through blood donation.
In particular, during the event, thorough investigations were conducted regarding donors and their families' visits to COVID-19 risk areas, and the donation sites and blood collection equipment were frequently disinfected to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection.
The blood donation certificates collected through the event will be used to help neighbors struggling with blood supply shortages. Employees who could not participate in the group blood donation will visit nearby blood donation centers to donate blood and donate their blood donation certificates.
Jung Sung-jae, Head of Group Management Support Division at BNK Financial Group, said, "I feel a great sense of fulfillment to participate in blood donation at a time when blood supply is even more critical due to the winter cold and the COVID-19 situation. Although these are difficult times for everyone, I hope many citizens will participate in blood donation and practice sharing with their neighbors."
