Maserati Announces New Sports Car Model 'MC20'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] Maserati has decided to name its new sports car model, debuting in May, the 'MC20'. Developed at the Maserati Innovation Lab, this model will be produced at the Viale Ciro Menotti factory in Italy.
MC20 is a name that emphasizes the vehicle's sports performance. MC stands for 'Maserati Racing', and 20 represents the year 2020.
The MC20 is an evolved model of the 'MC12', which marked Maserati's return to racing after 37 years in 2004. The MC12 won 14 championship titles in the FIA GT from 2004 to 2010 and secured victory in 22 races.
Maserati plans to return to the racing scene with the new super sports car MC20.
