Incheon Seo-gu Mayor "All Shincheonji Activities Suspended... Closure Considered if Noncompliance Occurs"

View original image[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] Lee Jae-hyun, the mayor of Seo-gu, Incheon, stated on the 21st, "COVID-19 cases are rapidly spreading, centered around Shincheonji believers," and added, "Seo-gu will also engage in an all-out battle against COVID-19 starting today."
In a post on his Facebook page that day, the mayor said, "After confirming Shincheonji churches located in Seo-gu, three places were identified, and we plan to focus on disinfecting and sanitizing these locations," and added, "Regardless of the reason, we strongly request the suspension of all gatherings and volunteer activities."
He continued, "If there is non-compliance, we will even demand closures," urging, "We ask Shincheonji believers to inform us of their places of worship, gathering locations, and volunteer activity areas as soon as possible."

He also requested, "Those Shincheonji believers who attended the Daegu gathering should contact the Seo-gu Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Situation Room first," and added, "If you know the locations of Shincheonji places of worship or church activities nearby, please let us know."
