SK Hynix Employee in Contact with Confirmed Case Tests 'Negative'
A new employee at SK Hynix who had contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 tested negative. SK Hynix stated on the 20th, "The new employee who had close contact with the confirmed case tested negative for COVID-19. They are scheduled to remain in quarantine until the 1st of next month."
After it was revealed that the employee had close contact with the confirmed case, SK Hynix placed about 280 trainees at the Icheon campus and approximately 800 employees under self-quarantine. A company official explained, "If there was even a slight overlap in movement paths, the person was added to the quarantine list," adding, "We responded proactively and extensively beyond government standards."

SK Hynix also announced that another new employee who showed pneumonia symptoms tested negative in the first test. The company plans to maintain the self-quarantine of about 800 people for the time being and will decide on lifting the quarantine based on future developments.
