Daegu District Court Adjourns Until the 6th of Next Month Due to COVID-19
The Daegu District Court announced on the 20th that it will have a special recess from the 24th of this month to the 6th of next month to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
During the recess period, hearings and preparatory hearings for civil and administrative cases, mediation and reconciliation hearings, trial dates for non-detained criminal cases, and other urgent or non-human rights impacting dates will not be held. However, preliminary injunction and provisional disposition hearings for civil and administrative cases, trial dates for detained criminal cases, and trials where postponement is deemed inappropriate will proceed.
Even if trials are held during the recess, the Daegu District Court will enforce mask-wearing as a principle and will guide parties and lawyers involved in litigation to wear masks as much as possible. Additionally, masks must be worn inside offices and other court buildings.
