'Trump Support?'... Pigeon Wearing a 'MAGA' Red Hat
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] Pigeons wearing the red baseball cap symbolizing U.S. President Donald Trump, known as the 'MAGA hat'?
Pigeons wearing MAGA hats staged a protest in the sky. Many pigeons had red MAGA hats on their heads, and some even had small blonde wigs, a trademark of President Trump, attached.
This occurred on the 19th (local time) during the Democratic primary debate held in Las Vegas, USA, ahead of President Trump's visit to Las Vegas on the 20th. It was planned by a civic group known as the underground organization called 'PUTIN (Pigeons United to Interfere Now)'.
Sharing the same name as the Russian president, this group sent a video containing this content via email to the local newspaper, the Las Vegas Review-Journal. According to reports, the self-proclaimed underground radical group PUTIN focused on the fact that during the Cold War era of the 1970s, the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) used animals such as pigeons and dolphins in espionage operations against the Soviet Union. In particular, they created this project with awareness of the use of pigeons for intelligence gathering during the first and second world presidential elections under the operation name 'Takana'.

A member of PUTIN stated that this project is both a protest against the Democratic debate and a gesture of support and loyalty to President Trump, adding, "The purpose is only to attract attention to the art and message; there is nothing more behind it." They also introduced the process of preparing this project, saying they cleaned and cared for the oil-covered pigeons and researched and nurtured them for several months.
