Hanwha 3rd Generation Vice President Kim Dong-kwan Nominated as Internal Director Candidate of Hanwha Solutions
[Asia Economy Reporter Park So-yeon]Kim Dong-kwan, the eldest son of Hanwha Group Chairman Kim Seung-yeon, will be appointed as a new inside director of Hanwha Solutions.
Hanwha Solutions announced on the 20th that it held a board meeting and appointed Kim Dong-kwan, Vice President of the Strategy Division, as a new inside director candidate.
A Hanwha Solutions official explained, "He was recommended as an inside director candidate to strengthen responsible management."
Since being promoted to Vice President in charge of the Strategy Division at Hanwha Solutions at the end of last year, Kim Dong-kwan has also concurrently served as the head of the Strategy Division at Hanwha Corporation starting this year.
In addition, Hanwha Solutions announced four new outside director candidates on the same day: Amanda Bush, partner at St. Augustine Capital Partners; Satoshi Shima, former Chief of Staff at SoftBank; Professor Park Ji-hyung of the Department of Economics at Seoul National University; and Seo Jeong-ho, attorney at Wiz Law Firm.
