20s Active Police Officer Couple Involved in Physical Altercation at Pension 'Booked'
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kang Juhee] An on-duty police officer couple was booked by the police after getting into a physical fight following an argument at a pension where they were staying.
The Pocheon Police Station in Gyeonggi announced on the 20th that they are investigating whether Corporal A (27) and Corporal B (27, female), both affiliated with a police station in Seoul, are involved in assault charges.
The couple, who are in a romantic relationship, stayed at a pension in Yeongjung-myeon, Pocheon City on the 14th, where they had an argument and then a physical altercation. Later, Corporal B, who injured her head after falling, reported the incident to the police at around 12:30 a.m. on the 15th.
Corporal A stated, "My girlfriend (Corporal B) hit my chest first. So I pushed her, and she fell," adding, "Although she hit me first, I do not wish to press charges."
