[Asia Economy Reporter Jo Gang-wook] The Export-Import Bank of Korea announced on the 20th that it has donated 50 million won to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association to help vulnerable groups struggling due to the impact of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association plans to use the donation from the bank to purchase "essential goods kits" consisting of nutritional supplements, medicines, masks, hand sanitizers, and toiletry sets, which will be provided to vulnerable groups living in areas such as the Yeongdeungpo jjokbangchon (small room village).

A bank official stated, "With the spread of COVID-19, social welfare facilities have been closed and free meal services have been suspended, increasing the difficulties faced by vulnerable groups.
