C Club Representative "Considering Legal Action Against Shincheonji Multi-Level Marketing Reports"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-gi] The representative of C Club, which the 31st confirmed patient of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) 'super-spreader' passed through, stated that they are considering legal action regarding suspicions of involvement with the Shincheonji Church or multi-level marketing methods raised against the company.
On the 20th, in a phone call with Asia Economy, the C Club representative said, "There has been tremendous damage caused by false information related to the 31st confirmed COVID-19 patient," adding, "If reports continue claiming that our company is connected to Shincheonji or is a multi-level marketing organization, we are seeking legal advice to not overlook this."
Regarding the 31st COVID-19 patient attending a seminar held in Yangjae-dong, Seoul on January 29, before being confirmed positive, he explained, "The seminar was held on January 29, and the 31st confirmed patient showed fever symptoms on the 7th," adding, "I understand that a full investigation has been underway since the 6th, one day before the fever symptoms, following the patient's movement."
