The district announced that, with the thawing season approaching, concerns about safety accidents such as ground subsidence caused by freezing and melting, collapse of bridges, retaining walls, stone walls, toppling, and falling rocks have arisen. Therefore, they will carry out safety inspections to prevent these issues in advance through facility inspections.
The inspection facilities include 27 bridges, 1 tunnel, 13 road retaining walls, and 11 road slopes and stone walls within the area, totaling 52 locations. Responsible officials and external experts will jointly conduct focused inspections on the condition of the facilities. Key inspection items include the occurrence and progression of concrete cracks, collapse of abutments and piers, risk of toppling, and the occurrence of cracks and bulging in stone walls and retaining walls.
Based on the inspection results, issues that can be corrected on-site will be addressed immediately. If serious defects are found, detailed safety diagnoses and repairs or reinforcements will be carried out to strengthen proactive prevention measures and minimize casualties and property damage.
