Koscom Pioneers 'Fintech Road' by Nurturing Talent in Finance and IT Convergence
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] Koscom has decided to collaborate with Yonsei University and Pusan National University to promote the overseas expansion of domestic fintech companies and to increase youth employment.
On the 19th, Koscom announced that it held a business agreement ceremony at Yonsei University Future Campus to support the overseas expansion of domestic finance and IT convergence talents and agreed to establish a secretariat in the future to expand the scope of cooperation.
Through this agreement, both institutions will actively support the overseas expansion of fintech companies and talents and strive to contribute to the government's financial sector New Southern and New Northern policies, including the Financial Services Commission.
Since 2018, Koscom and Yonsei University have been conducting industry-academia-linked education using remote education facilities installed at Koscom's headquarters training center in Yeouido for university students preparing for employment in the financial IT sector and capital market experts by offering courses such as AI financial analysis expert programs.
In addition, Koscom has signed an industry-academia cooperation agreement with Pusan National University to jointly work on technology development and workforce training in the digital finance sector.
Through this agreement, both parties plan to promote ▲ research and development and commercialization efforts for technological innovation ▲ training of professionals and personnel exchange for the promotion and development of related industries ▲ joint use of facilities and equipment and exchange of information and data for the advancement of the digital finance industry.
