Recruitment of Entrepreneurs for Local Creator Voucher Support Project
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Funding will be provided for the commercialization of innovative ideas targeting 'local creators' who start businesses that can revitalize the local economy based on regional resources and characteristics.
The Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development (President Kim Kwang-hyun) announced that from the 20th, it will recruit participants for the 'Local Creator Voucher Support Project,' which provides commercialization funds to innovative prospective entrepreneurs based in local areas.
The Local Creator Voucher Support Project provides commercialization funds of up to 50 million KRW to local creators who contribute to revitalizing the local economy through startups utilizing regional resources and characteristics. This year, the support scale is a total of 140 companies. The selection evaluation will be conducted through written and face-to-face assessments to verify business execution capabilities, innovativeness, growth potential, and connection to the local economy regarding ideas or business models utilizing local resources.

The recruitment and selection of local creators will be conducted jointly by the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development and the Creative Economy Innovation Center, and applicants must submit all required documents, including a business plan. Kim Kwang-hyun, president of the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, stated, "To promote the inflow of talent to local areas and revitalize the local economy, the role of local creators who connect local alley markets, geography, culture, and communities to create new value is very important," adding, "We will continue to strengthen connections and cooperation with local areas so that they can achieve sustainable growth."
