Prime Minister Jeong Encourages Those Staying in Wuhan, China with a Phone Call: "Thank You for Your Courage and Sacrifice"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun expressed his gratitude by calling Dr. A, who remains in Wuhan, China, providing medical care to Korean residents even after three rounds of evacuation, saying, "Thank you for your courage and sacrifice."
On the afternoon of the 18th, Prime Minister Chung spoke with Dr. A over the phone at his office in the Government Seoul Complex, saying, "Your sense of duty, putting others before yourself and fulfilling your responsibilities as a doctor, must have been a great support to the local Korean residents despite the difficult circumstances."
The Prime Minister's office reported that Chung discussed with Dr. A whether there were any difficulties operating the temporary clinic set up within the local consulate, if medical equipment and medicines were sufficient, and if there were any needs for government support.
Prime Minister Chung told Dr. A, "Although I am worried about the Korean residents remaining there, I feel much more at ease knowing that someone like you is there," and urged him to "take special care of your health."
