Hwasun-gun Holds Evaluation Meeting for Selection of Consignment Companies in the Forest Welfare Sector
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Young-gyun] Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 17th that it recently held an evaluation meeting to select a consignment company to operate forest interpretation and forest healing programs at the Manyeonsan Healing Center.
The evaluation meeting was attended by three forest welfare specialized companies that submitted proposals in response to the consignment company recruitment announcement held from the 20th of last month to the 7th of this month and passed the first document screening.
The participating companies gave presentations on their business proposals and demonstrated their self-developed specialized programs tailored to situations presented by target, age, and location, receiving favorable reviews from the judges.
In particular, considering the characteristics of the county with a high proportion of elderly population, many customized programs for the elderly were also introduced.
The evaluation committee highly praised the program composition of the companies participating in the demonstration but also requested the development of programs for youth health promotion and character building linked to the operation of the free semester system.
The county planned to operate the program from next month once the operator is decided through this evaluation meeting, but the specific schedule will be determined after consultation with Jeollanam-do to prevent COVID-19 infection.
Yoo Myung-gi, Director of the Forest Industry Division, said, “We will prepare substantial programs so that both residents and tourists can rest their body and mind in the clear forests of Hwasun,” and added, “We hope you gift yourself the best gift, ‘health,’ in the forests of Hwasun.”
