Jungjingong Selects 6 Students for the 7th Jungjingonggam Scholarship Program

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daeseop] The Small and Medium Business Corporation (SBC) announced on the 17th that it has selected the '7th SBCgam (感) Scholarship Students' and awarded scholarships.
The scholarship award ceremony was held at the SBC headquarters in Jinju, Gyeongnam. Six students from specialized high schools were selected as scholarship recipients upon recommendation from the Jinju Office of Education, and a scholarship of 1 million KRW per student was awarded from the social contribution fund raised by employees voluntarily donating their salary change.
SBCgam is a social contribution brand launched by SBC in 2014. It signifies social contributions that resonate with SBC, beneficiaries, and the public alike.
Since the selection of the first scholarship students, a total of 26 local youths have received scholarships. In addition to financial support, employees have served as mentors to the scholarship students, providing customized mentoring including academic and career counseling.
Since 2009, SBC employees have voluntarily participated in donating their salary change for 10 years, accumulating a social contribution fund. The accumulated fund is used for scholarships and support for local social welfare facilities.
