[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] Tottenham Hotspur, powered by Son Heung-min's five consecutive games with goals, led a 3-2 victory against Aston Villa.

On the 16th (Korean time), Son Heung-min started in the away match against Aston Villa in the 26th round of the 2019-2020 Premier League (EPL) held at Villa Park in Birmingham, UK, scoring a comeback goal in added time of the first half to make it 2-1 and the winning goal in added time of the second half at 2-2.

Son Heung-min continued his scoring streak from the winning goal in the 24th round EPL match against Norwich City on the 23rd of last month, extending it to three consecutive games in the regular league and five games including the English Football Association (FA) Cup.

Playing as the lone striker in a 4-2-3-1 formation, Son Heung-min took the penalty kick awarded to Steven Bergwijn in added time of the first half when the score was tied 1-1.

Although his shot towards Aston Villa's goal was saved by goalkeeper Pepe Reina, Son calmly finished with his right foot on the rebound, converting it into a goal.

In the 4th minute of added time in the second half with the score tied 2-2, Son Heung-min seized a one-on-one opportunity with the goalkeeper due to a defensive mistake by Aston Villa's defense. He then scored with a right-footed low shot aimed at the opposite goalpost.

On this day, Son Heung-min was part of the attacking line alongside Lucas Moura, Bergwijn, and Dele Alli.

Son Heung-min joined Tottenham before the 2015-2016 season after leaving Bayer Leverkusen (Germany) and scored 4 goals in his first season. He recorded 14 goals in the 2016-2017 season and 12 goals consecutively in the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 seasons.
