Lee Dae-hoon, President of NongHyup Bank, Visits Flower Farms Affected by COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Haeyoung] Lee Daehun, President of NH Nonghyup Bank, visited flower farms struggling due to COVID-19.
On the 16th, Nonghyup Bank announced that President Lee visited flower farms in Sagok-myeon, Gongju-si, Chungnam on the 13th to listen to the damage caused by COVID-19 and discuss consumption promotion and various support measures that could provide practical help to the farms. Recently, flower farms have faced many difficulties such as price collapses due to the cancellation of various events including graduation ceremonies during the peak sales season because of COVID-19.
Nonghyup Bank has been providing financial support since the 31st of last month to individuals and small and medium enterprises affected by the spread of COVID-19, offering new funds up to 500 million KRW for companies and up to 100 million KRW for individuals, loan interest rate reductions within 1% (up to 1.7% for farmers), and interest payment deferrals for up to 12 months.
Additionally, Nonghyup Bank is conducting a social network service (SNS) event to help flower farms by fostering national consensus and promoting consumption. The event, running until the 13th of next month, invites participants to leave supportive comments sharing stories they want to celebrate in spring, and 1,004 winners will receive bouquets worth approximately 30,000 KRW as prizes.
