Commuting Between Gwangju and Hyeoksin City Becomes More Convenient
Reduced Interval for Bus Route 02 Seats
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] The commute by bus between Gwangju Metropolitan City and the Gwangju-Jeonnam Joint Innovation City is expected to improve.
On the 16th, Gwangju City announced that starting from the 17th, the interval of the Seat 02 bus operating between Gwangju and the Gwangju-Jeonnam Joint Innovation City will be shortened and the dispatch frequency increased.
During the morning rush hours from 6:40 AM to 7:55 AM, the interval will be reduced from the existing 6-16 minutes to 5-10 minutes, and during the evening rush hours from 5:52 PM to 7:58 PM, the interval will be shortened from 12-18 minutes to 10-13 minutes. A total of 6 additional buses will operate, with 2 more buses during the morning rush and 4 more during the evening rush.
This adjustment in operation times was made in response to citizens' requests, who found it difficult to board the bus at once due to the high number of passengers during peak commuting hours.
The Seat 02 bus was newly established in 2015 for residents of the Innovation City and is an express seat bus that quickly connects Gwangju and Naju, stopping at major points in Gwangju such as Mudeungsan National Park (Jeungsimsa), Chosun University, Culture & Arts Center, Gwangju Station, Chonnam National University, Gwangju General Bus Terminal, Gwangju City Hall, and Gwangju Songjeong Station.
