According to Chungnam Fire Authorities on the 15th, the fire reportedly started around 1:31 PM at the water treatment facility inside the Dongbu Steel plant located in Songak-eup, Dangjin-si, Chungnam.
The Dangjin Fire Station received the fire report and dispatched fire trucks to carry out extinguishing operations.
Currently, not only the Dangjin Fire Station but also the Asan and Seosan Fire Stations, the Central 119 Rescue Team, and the Metropolitan Mobile Unit have been deployed to the scene to conduct firefighting efforts.
