[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Yuseong-hoon, the mayor of Geumcheon-gu, started disinfection activities early in the morning on the 14th to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
At 8 a.m. that day, Mayor Yuseong-hoon visited Beomil Transportation, the largest transportation company in Geumcheon-gu, and disinfected the inside of the buses personally.
He then conducted disinfection at bus stops, Geumbit Park, and other facilities frequently used by residents.
The district conducts daily intensive disinfection targeting facilities frequently used by residents and areas densely populated by foreigners, distributing protective supplies such as masks and hand sanitizers to facilities used by vulnerable groups like daycare centers and welfare facilities, making every effort to prevent COVID-19.

Mayor Yuseong-hoon said, “Thanks to the active cooperation of related organizations and residents, as well as the efforts of district officials, no confirmed cases have occurred in Geumcheon-gu so far, and the spread of COVID-19 has entered a stabilization phase. We will mobilize all district capabilities to respond until COVID-19 is completely eradicated.”
