Boseong-gun Receives Minister of the Interior and Safety Award as an 'Excellent Institution' in National Disaster Preparedness Comprehensive Training
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Yong-chul] Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, announced on the 14th that it was selected as an excellent institution in the ‘2019 National Disaster Preparedness Comprehensive Training Evaluation’ conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and received a commendation from the Minister of the Interior and Safety on the 12th.
The National Disaster Preparedness Comprehensive Training is a drill conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety to assess the disaster response capabilities of local governments.
Last year, the county selected ‘landslide’ as the type of disaster for the training and conducted an on-site drill at Jeamsan Natural Recreation Forest in Ungchi-myeon together with 17 organizations and groups including the Korea Forest Service, Boseong Police Station, Boseong Fire Station, and about 300 residents.
In particular, County Governor Kim Cheol-woo personally directed the training, establishing an organic cooperation system between the county and related organizations and groups, and received high evaluations for conducting training similar to actual disaster situations.
A county official said, “We will continue to thoroughly conduct disaster response training to respond quickly and accurately in actual disaster situations to protect the lives and property of residents.”
