[Announcement+] Me2on Posts Operating Profit of 40.5 Billion KRW Last Year... "Record High Performance"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Me2on (CEO Son Changwook) announced on the 13th that its consolidated sales for last year were tentatively estimated at 119.3 billion KRW, operating profit at 40.5 billion KRW, and net profit at 29.2 billion KRW.
This represents increases of 20.8%, 37.3%, and 25.1% respectively compared to 2018. The operating profit marked a record high again since 2018 (29.5 billion KRW).
Me2on has shown steady sales growth since its establishment, surpassing 100 billion KRW in sales last year, driven by balanced growth in its social casino games and casual games business segments. Among these, the social casino business accounted for 53%, the casual games business 42%, and the advertising business 5%.
Looking at each game segment, casual games significantly contributed to record-high sales due to favorable business conditions. In particular, following the release of the new casual game ‘Solitaire Tripeaks Journey,’ continuous sales growth has increased the share of casual games, indicating successful expansion of the casual games business.
Additionally, social casino games such as ‘Full House Casino,’ ‘Full Pot Hold’em,’ and ‘Classic Vegas Slots’ showed solid growth. In the case of Full House Casino, last year’s sales in Japan accounted for about 33%, an increase of approximately 8% compared to the previous year, demonstrating that sales continue to grow in the Japanese market where average revenue per user (ARPU) is high.
