Gyeongbuk Province Selects 15 Companies as '2020 Star Enterprises' for Focused Development
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Jucheol In] Gyeongbuk Province will select and focus on nurturing 15 'Gyeongbuk Star Companies' this year.
On the 13th, Gyeongbuk Province announced that it will select and support outstanding small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as Star Companies based on growth potential, job creation, and contributions to the local community.
Following last year's selection of 16 companies and support of 5.7 billion KRW, 15 new companies will be selected this year.
Applications are open until the 9th of next month for corporate businesses headquartered in the province with an average annual sales of 5 billion to 40 billion KRW over the past three years, employing 10 or more regular workers, and having a corporate-affiliated research institute.
Applications can be submitted to Gyeongbuk Technopark, where eligibility screening, on-site inspections, job evaluations, and presentation evaluations will be conducted for selection.

Star Companies will receive support for growth strategy development, dedicated consulting, research and development project planning and execution, and preferential participation in central and local government projects.
