Seongbuk-gu Branch Members Raise 5.03 Million Won in Donations to Practice Neighborly Love

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) announced that on the 10th, a '2020 Hope Ondol Warm Winter Fund Donation Ceremony' was held at the Seongbuk-gu Mayor's Office by the Korea Association of Realtors Seongbuk-gu Branch.
The Korea Association of Realtors Seongbuk-gu Branch was established in 1986 and currently consists of about 500 members. Every year, the members unite their intentions to donate funds to neighbors in need, continuously practicing neighborly help within the local community.
This year as well, a total of 5.03 million KRW was collected through individual members' donations and entrusted to the district office.
Branch President Kim Jong-bin said, “Although members are also facing difficulties due to the recent real estate market slump, we gathered the members' wishes to show a helping hand to marginalized neighbors around us and participated in the fundraising together. We hope this small contribution will be used for neighbors in need.”
Seongbuk-gu Mayor Lee Seung-ro said, “Despite the difficult economic conditions, I am grateful for your annual kindness to residents in need, and the donated funds will be properly delivered to neighbors who require assistance.”
