Hanjin Sponsors Ewha Womans University 'Fibrosis Disease Research Institute' in Memory of Late Cho Yang-ho... Cho Hyun-min Attends
Sponsorship of Airfare to the Research Center
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] Hanjin Group has decided to sponsor the Ewha Womans University Fibrotic Disease Control Research Center as part of a memorial project for the late Chairman Cho Yang-ho.
On the morning of the 12th, Hanjin Group held a signing ceremony with the research center at Ewha Womans University College of Pharmacy and announced that it would sponsor airline tickets to support the center's core activities, such as attending overseas academic conferences and inviting lecturers.
Earlier, Chairman Cho passed away from a pulmonary disease in the United States in April last year. In response, Hanjin Group decided to support the research center aiming to overcome fibrotic diseases, which are on the rise due to the aging society and environmental issues.
The Ewha Womans University College of Pharmacy Fibrotic Disease Control Research Center was established in 2018 with the goal of developing fundamental technologies for treating intractable fibrotic diseases. That year, it was selected as a Leading Research Center in the field of basic medical science supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Research Foundation of Korea, receiving approximately 9.4 billion KRW in research funding until 2025.
