At the meeting, Je Yeonggwang, head of Busan Regional Customs Office, said, “Due to the spread of the novel coronavirus, logistics flow in China is blocked, causing many difficulties in the supply of raw and subsidiary materials for ship manufacturing, but we will support rapid customs clearance to ensure there is no disruption in production.” He added, “We will provide all possible customs administration support to Chinese export-import companies experiencing difficulties in the region.”

They decided to minimize document submission and import inspection selection focusing on urgently procured goods or raw materials and to expedite exemption reviews.
If unloading operations are delayed after China-origin cargo arrives, the mandatory period for bringing goods into the unloading site and the export shipment fulfillment period will be extended.
For domestic affected companies, unsecured payment extensions and installment payment support will be provided within a maximum period of one year, and refund applications will be decided and paid on the same day to prevent liquidity obstacles for companies. In addition, customs investigations will be deferred until the relief process is completed, and ongoing investigations will be postponed upon request.
