Gyeonggi Economic Science Institute, Recruiting 10 Companies for Production Level-Up in Pyeongtaek Area
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency is recruiting 10 Pyeongtaek companies to participate in the '2020 Production Level-Up Support Project' until the 13th of next month.
The Production Level-Up Support Project is a program that supports 60% of the costs required to improve inefficient production processes of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Companies bear 40% of the costs. The support amount per company is limited to a maximum of 18 million KRW.
The support areas include process improvement and process development costs at production sites, establishment of production equipment information systems, diagnosis and resolution of causes of damage to manufacturing equipment and products, etc.
SMEs with headquarters or factories located in Pyeongtaek City, and with sales of 15 billion KRW or less based on the 2018 financial statements or 2019 estimated financial statements, are eligible to apply.
Companies wishing to participate must apply online through the EGBiz website (www.egbiz.or.kr) and then submit related documents to the Gyeonggi Economic Science Agency Southern Region Center Pyeongtaek Branch Office (031-651-716).

Last year, 10 companies in the Pyeongtaek area that participated in this project achieved a sales increase of 7.4 billion KRW, created 11 jobs, increased exports by 360,000 USD, and reduced manufacturing costs by 700 million KRW.
