Kang Yong-seok: "Dispatch Manipulated KakaoTalk Messages with Dodo Mom for Report... Lawyer Who Filed Complaint Also Countersues"
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Sung-yeol] On the 11th, attorney Kang Yong-seok announced that he will file a counter-lawsuit against two lawyers who accused him of instigating false accusations. He also stated his intention to sue the entertainment media outlet 'Dispatch' for defamation, claiming that they manipulated KakaoTalk messages in their reports, and will seek damages as well.
The law firm 'Nextro,' to which Attorney Kang belongs, said in a press release on the morning of the same day, "Attorney Kang will sue the two lawyers who led this accusation for false accusation, and will also file a criminal complaint against the reporters who manipulated KakaoTalk messages and Dispatch for defamation by spreading false information, as well as claim damages."
Nextro stated, "The case in which the two Attorneys Kim accused Attorney Kang Yong-seok of false accusation appears to have been made without additional fact-checking related to Dispatch's article."
They added, "The KakaoTalk messages appearing in Dispatch's article are not the original texts," and claimed, "Most of the content was manipulated and edited."
Earlier, Attorneys Kim Sang-gyun and Kim Ho-in, who run the YouTube channel 'KimKim Lawyer,' filed a complaint against Attorney Kang for false accusation at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office at 10 a.m. on the 11th.
They explained the reason for the accusation, saying, "As people in the same profession, this has gone too far," and "This is to resolve the public misunderstanding that many lawyers are experiencing in their work due to Attorney Kang."
