Jongno-gu, Intensive Disinfection of Traditional Markets and More
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Jongno-gu (Mayor Kim Young-jong) conducted intensive disinfection on the 11th along the Cheonggyecheon Stream area, where traditional markets and animal sales businesses are concentrated, to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection.
The district has deployed specialized infectious disease prevention companies since the 7th to carry out precise disinfection combining fogging and spraying for individual stores, targeting popular places such as Gwangjang Market and Tongin Market, which are frequently visited by local residents as well as domestic and international tourists.
Small-scale traditional markets and areas with dense animal sales businesses along Cheonggyecheon Stream will also be directly disinfected thoroughly by the Jongno-gu Public Health Center until February 12.
This is to alleviate residents' anxiety through infectious disease prevention and to revitalize the local economy.
