Ulsan, Resolution to Prevent the Spread of Novel Coronavirus
Participation of 7 Designated General Hospital Directors in Screening Clinics
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Yoseop] The heads of general hospitals in Ulsan have agreed to join forces to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (Ulsan pneumonia).
According to Ulsan City on the 11th, at 4:30 PM that day, the heads of general hospitals in the Ulsan area exchanged opinions to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus at the situation room on the 7th floor of the Ulsan City Hall main building.
Attending the meeting were Song Cheol-ho, Mayor of Ulsan, Byeon Tae-seop, Chairman of the Ulsan Medical Association, and the heads of seven hospitals, including Ulsan University Hospital, which has been designated as a screening clinic for the novel coronavirus.
Currently, if a novel coronavirus infection is suspected, an initial test is conducted at the screening clinic to determine confirmation. No confirmed cases have yet occurred in Ulsan.
The hospital directors resolved that day, "We will do our best to prevent local spread so that citizens can feel safe and focus on their livelihoods."
Mayor Song encouraged the medical institutions and healthcare workers who are striving to block community infection. He also shared measures for thorough and flawless action in case of confirmed patients and ways to prevent infection among medical staff.
