[Photo] International Lions Club District 354-A Donates 10 Million KRW for Winter Support to Yongsan-gu
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The International Lions Club District 354-A (Governor Mo Young-bae) donated 10 million won in warm winter funds to Yongsan-gu (District Mayor Seong Jang-hyun) on the 10th.
The International Lions Club is the world's largest non-governmental organization (NGO) volunteer group with 1.4 million members in 213 countries. It has carried out various projects such as blindness prevention, environmental improvement, and housing construction for the disabled.
At the donation ceremony, 10 people including District Mayor Seong Jang-hyun, Governor Mo Young-bae, and related officials were present.
District Mayor Seong Jang-hyun said, "I deeply thank the members of the International Lions Club District 354-A for practicing love for neighbors," adding, "The donated money will be used for living and medical expenses for low-income families, sharing kimchi for love, and youth academy linkage projects."
Warm Winter is a public-private cooperative welfare project that the district carries out together with the Seoul Community Chest of Korea. Fundraising will continue until the 19th.
