Speed of Korea-New Conservative Integration... Yu Ui-dong "Acceptance of Kim Hyung-o's Public Relations Committee"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] The integration between the Liberty Korea Party and the New Conservative Party is gaining momentum. The New Conservative Party announced that it accepts the Liberty Korea Party's 'Kim Hyung-o Nomination Management Committee system,' which was the biggest issue regarding the formation of the integrated nomination management committee.
On the 11th, Yoo Ui-dong, the responsible representative of the New Conservative Party, held a party leadership meeting at the National Assembly and stated, "The New Conservative Party highly appreciates Chairman Kim Hyung-o of the Liberty Korea Party's Nomination Management Committee and other committee members' passion and efforts for reform nominations," adding, "We accept this." He added, "What we want is not the formation of a new nomination committee, but the sincere implementation of the three major principles of conservative grand integration and nominations that fit them," and "We hope that the reformative nominations will be well carried out by Kim Hyung-o's nomination committee."
Inside and outside the two parties, there were many analyses that differences in positions existed regarding the premise of integration, namely 'building a new house,' that is, the form of founding a new party. Regarding the leadership system and the formation of the nomination committee, the Liberty Korea Party judged that it was realistic to base it on the existing 'Kim Hyung-o nomination committee' and add nomination committee members, but the New Conservative Party had not clearly stated its position on this. Because of this, there was also an analysis that it might mean forming an entirely new nomination committee. The formation of the nomination committee is ultimately directly related to the nomination rights.
Regarding this, Representative Yoo said, "There are many incorrect speculations in the media," and explained, "Discussions on the integration of the two parties are ongoing, but there are views that the two sides are having a nervous battle over nomination rights. However, I clearly state here that this is absolutely not the case."

This is all I want," he mentioned.
