LG Electronics Resumes Production Today at Hangzhou LCD Material Factory
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] LG Electronics announced that it resumed operations on the 11th at its LCD material production plant in Hangzhou, China, which had been shut down due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (Wuhan pneumonia).
The company explained, "The Hangzhou plant received local government approval for operation yesterday and will resume production starting today."
LG Electronics operates 10 plants in 7 regions including Nanjing and Qingdao, and so far 8 plants have resumed operations. The remaining Tianjin air conditioner and Qinhuangdao compressor plants are awaiting local government approval to resume operations.
The company expects that a few more days will be needed to fully resume production.

Samsung Electronics also resumed operations at its Suzhou home appliance plant yesterday. However, the Tianjin TV plant is expected to resume operations around next week in accordance with local government guidelines.
