Hubei Province Reports 2,618 New Confirmed Cases and 91 Additional Deaths in One Day (Update)
[Asia Economy Beijing=Special Correspondent Park Sun-mi] In Hubei Province, China, where the novel coronavirus outbreak originated, 2,618 new confirmed cases and 91 deaths were reported in one day.
On the 10th, the Hubei Provincial Health Commission (Weiguanwei) announced that as of midnight, 2,618 additional confirmed cases were reported in Hubei Province. Wuhan City had the highest number with 1,921 cases, followed by Huanggang City (115), Xiaogan City (105), and Ezhou City (89).
The additional deaths were counted at 91, with Wuhan City again having the highest number of deaths at 73.
So far, the cumulative number of confirmed cases diagnosed with the novel coronavirus in Hubei Province is 29,631. The cumulative number of discharged patients is 1,795, and deaths are counted at 871. The mortality rate is 2.94%.

Currently, 22,160 confirmed patients are receiving treatment within Hubei Province, among whom 4,269 are classified as severe cases, and 1,236 are classified as critically severe cases. The number of suspected cases is 18,438, and the number of close contacts is 132,555, among whom 73,127 are under medical observation.
