One More Confirmed Case of Novel Coronavirus... 25th Patient is a Woman in Her 70s (Update)

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] One additional confirmed case of the novel coronavirus infection (Wuhan pneumonia) was identified in South Korea on the 9th. Including two patients who were previously discharged, the total number of confirmed cases in the country has risen to 25.
According to the Central Disease Control Headquarters of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the newly confirmed patient is a 73-year-old Korean woman. She lives with family members (son and daughter-in-law) who had visited Guangdong Province, China, from November last year until the end of last month. She underwent testing due to symptoms of fever, cough, and sore throat, and was confirmed positive. She is currently hospitalized at Bundang Seoul National University Hospital.
As of the morning of the same day, the total number of confirmed cases is 25, with 2 discharged and 23 patients currently under treatment. There are approximately 2,300 suspected cases, of which about 1,300 have tested negative, and tests are currently ongoing for 960 individuals.
