View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters announced on the 7th that the total number of contacts of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (Wuhan pneumonia) in South Korea has reached 1,386. This figure is based on data as of 9 a.m. that day, showing an increase of 152 from the previously announced 1,234 the day before.
The number of people placed under quarantine measures is 1,083. Among the contacts of confirmed patients, a total of 9 individuals have been confirmed positive. These include 1 contact of patient number 3, 1 contact of patient number 5, 3 contacts of patient number 6, 1 contact of patient number 12, 1 contact of patient number 15, and 2 contacts of patient number 16.
On the 6th, one additional confirmed case was reported: a 20-year-old male Wuhan evacuee living in a temporary residence facility within the Police Human Resources Development Institute in Asan, Chungnam. Including patients number 1 and 2 who have already been discharged, the total cumulative confirmed cases in South Korea have increased to 24.
