The final successful candidates were selected through the second exam, including teaching demonstration, in-depth interview on teaching aptitude, and practical evaluation, from 696 candidates who passed the first exam.
The initially planned number of recruits was 487 (442 general, 34 disabled, 11 island), but due to under-registration and no-shows among island and disabled applicants, the final number of successful candidates decreased by 31.
Among the total 456 successful candidates, 25.2% (115) were male and 74.8% (341) were female, showing a slight increase in the proportion of females compared to last year's 31.1% (142 males) and 68.9% (315 females) out of 457 total.
The Office of Education plans to appoint newly recruited teachers selected through the ‘regional quota recruitment’ to island areas where transfers are frequent, to support stable educational activities.
Individual scores can be checked on the Jeollanam-do Office of Education online recruitment system from today until the 14th.
Registration of final successful candidates will be accepted at the Office of Education from the 10th to the 12th.
However, to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection, those who have traveled to or visited China since the 1st of last month must submit their registration by mail. Job training will also be conducted remotely from the 10th to the 23rd in accordance with the Office of Education’s policy to refrain from holding group events.
