To prevent the spread of infection within the region, 50 residents belonging to the Saemaeul Leaders Dobong-gu Council (Chairman Lee-seon Hwang) disinfection volunteer team have formed 10 groups and are actively participating in disinfection and sterilization volunteer work more than twice daily.
They are focusing their disinfection efforts on 20 bus stops along Dobong-ro, Dobong-gu, where there is heavy foot traffic, and around subway stations, using portable compressed disinfection sprayers directly.
Additionally, the Saemaeul Leaders disinfection volunteer team conducts continuous environmental cleanup activities along the Jungnangcheon riverside and vulnerable areas within Dobong-gu every year starting with a disinfection launch ceremony in April, using four disinfection vehicles and single-wheel disinfection machines.
The district holds a daily progress review meeting at 9 a.m. chaired by the vice mayor and a disaster safety countermeasures headquarters meeting twice a week chaired by the mayor to prepare and respond effectively to community transmission.
Furthermore, to share the heavy workload with limited personnel, additional staff have been dispatched to the health center and disaster safety countermeasures headquarters, and three thermal imaging cameras (two at the district office and one at the health center) have been installed to prioritize residents' safety and health in infectious disease prevention.
