Eugene Seop Jeongeup Mayor Sends 'Coronavirus' Letter to Citizens
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Yoo Jinseop, mayor of Jeongeup City, Jeonbuk, sent a letter to 5,000 households on the 4th to alleviate citizens' anxiety about the novel coronavirus.
In the letter, Mayor Yoo stated, "To protect the safety of citizens, thorough prior preparation is more important than after-the-fact measures," and added, "We are preparing and implementing prevention-centered measures."
He also said, "We operate a 24-hour emergency response system, have organized disinfection teams at Jeongeup Station and Asan General Hospital, and have installed thermal cameras, hand sanitizers, hand cleansers, and masks," and "A screening clinic has been set up at Asan General Hospital, and through meetings of the heads of 23 towns and townships, we are making every effort to promote and implement measures against the novel coronavirus."

Mayor Yoo requested, "To prevent the spread of the coronavirus, please observe cough etiquette, wash your hands when going out, and wear masks," and urged, "Anyone who has even slight suspicion of symptoms such as coughing, sputum, or fever should immediately report to the health center, town or township office, or community service center."
