[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] Changwon City announced on the 5th that it will establish a vacant house information system and expand maintenance projects to address vacant houses causing social problems.
The city will provide subsidies for the demolition of vacant houses that have not been occupied for more than one year, offering 3 million KRW for simple demolition and up to 5 million KRW for utilizing the site as public land. Through subsidy support, the city aims to encourage vacant house owners to voluntarily demolish their properties, thereby improving the residential environment in urban areas and converting neglected vacant house sites into public parking lots.

Applications can be submitted from February 17 for one month at the architectural permit department of the district office where the vacant house is located or at the administrative welfare center.
