View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kum Bo-ryeong] Kyobo Securities announced on the 5th that former Kyobo Life Insurance Vice President Park Bong-kwon has been appointed as the new president. Under the leadership of Kyobo Securities CEO Kim Hae-jun, the new president Park will be in charge of management support and the Wealth Management (WM) division as 'Chief Operating Officer.'
A Kyobo Securities official explained, "If President Park is appointed as the CEO at the shareholders' meeting next month, he and CEO Kim will operate under a dual CEO system."

President Park graduated from Busan Nam High School and Seoul National University with a degree in law. He joined Kyobo Life Insurance in 1990, handling stock and bond management. Later, he mainly managed bonds at HDC Asset Management and Fides Asset Management. From 2003 to 2010, he served as bond management team leader, entrusted management team leader, and securities management director at the National Pension Service. From 2011 until December last year, he worked as vice president at Kyobo Life Insurance.
