The Korea Meteorological Administration forecasted that morning temperatures will drop to between -15 and -1 degrees Celsius due to the influence of a cold continental high-pressure system expanding from the north.
This is a sudden cold snap arriving in February following the warmest January in 47 years since observations began.
Minimum temperatures by region are expected to be more than 5 degrees lower nationwide compared to the previous day. Seoul -12°C, Incheon -9°C, Suwon -10°C, Daejeon -8°C, Sejong -10°C, Daegu -5°C, Gwangju -4°C, Busan -2°C are expected.

Daytime temperatures will range from -4 to 5 degrees Celsius, about 4 to 7 degrees lower than the average 3 to 9 degrees Celsius, making it cold. This cold weather is expected to continue until the next day, the 6th.
