Daegu City Conducts Intensive Disinfection of Over 1,500 City Buses to Block Novel Coronavirus
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Ju Cheol-in] Daegu City has launched intensive disinfection of all 1,500 city buses from the 4th to the 6th to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection.
For three days, the city disinfected at city bus turnaround points and terminals, and postponed the advanced site visit for transportation workers, originally scheduled for next month, until after the crisis alert is lifted.
Among the 26 city bus companies, 14 companies are providing masks and hand sanitizers inside buses and informing personal hygiene rules through announcement broadcasts and posting promotional messages. The charter bus and taxi associations also strengthened education for transportation workers and their own disinfection activities.
